Palms Trax and CTM Festival – This Week In Berlin
If your after a super casual Thursday evening, Berlin based Kevin Palms or better known as Palms Trax is hosting a deliciously cosy evening of all things disco and soul at one of Kreuzberg’s better known bars, Bohnengold. This small yet deceiving bar/club/café is perfectly fitting for some funky disco and soulful tunes. Also on the agenda for the evening is Palm’s good friend JM Moser, most of you would know him through his involvement with Berlin Community Radio and his well known radio segment Brown Rice, which you can catch every Wednesday from 10-11pm, if your into a broad selection of music ranging from funky jazzy goodness to spaced out ambient, outer space vibes then its right up your alley.
These guys are sure to put on a super special evening for you all; ample amounts of smiles, grooves and all round good vibes floating through to the early hours of the morning.
You can check out this Palms Trax interview and mix that he kindly did for the guys at Boiler Room to give you a general feel for what he is all about and what you can expect for Thursday eve.
If you’re after something more on the larger scale, Berlin’s annual visual and music festival CTM will kick off this Friday the 23rd running through to the 1st of February. Founded in 1999, the festival originally focused on electronic music, but has since evolved to cover a wide range of genres dedicated for the adventurous music seeker. A week-long event that encompasses all things music and art consisting of performances, workshops, art installations, panel discussions, screenings and presentations that illustrate the latest artistic and technological developments in music and media.
