Bo Carter’s New Collection Shot In Iceland
Leeds based ethical fashion designer, Bo Carter has announced her new collection via a stunning photo-shoot in Iceland. We interviewed Bo back in March and discussed the harsh ethical problems that taint the fashion industry.
Her new collection was shot entirely on location in Iceland, the destination picked specifically to work well with the texture and colours of Bo’s new items. Having traveled to Iceland before, Bo had fallen in love instantly, “such a strange and beautiful place.” The clothes in this collection were designed specifically to work with the landscapes of Iceland, a challenge for Bo as the bold prints and strong colours we usually see in her designs were not as prominent, replaced with earthy tones, blacks and whites alongside some vibrant blocks of colour, though after that initial visit Bo said that she “knew straight away what the clothes were going to be like.”
With the help of a dedicated team, Steve Gabbett who shot the collection, Steinunn a fashion label based in Reykjavik and the models, “I so want to go back and do it all again,” says Bo. Check out the collection below.
